Jonnie Irwin has revealed he’s feeling ‘whacked’ after going to a gig shortly after receiving cancer treatment.
The TV star, 49, revealed on Saturday that he’d been to see The Streets when he probably should have been resting following his latest round of radiotherapy.
Jonnie – who has been keeping his fans updated throughout his devastating terminal cancer diagnosis – heaped praise on the group’s frontman, Mike Skinner, and emphasised that he was ‘so glad he went’.
Alongside a handful of videos of the show, A Place In The Sun star Jonnie wrote on Instagram: ‘What a night! Probs should be resting after radiotherapy to my Swede the day before but F it right?! More about that later.
‘So glad I went especially as he played all the classics. @mikeskinnerltd had the place pumping. Pretty whacked today but worth it.’
Doting dad Jonnie shares three young boys with his wife Jessica Holmes and was originally told he had six months to live following a stage four lung cancer diagnosis.

Since being diagnosed, Jonnie has been showered in support while sharing updates on social media and has heartbreakingly revealed he fears his kids won’t remember him.
Earlier this month, the dad-of-three said he was glad he enjoyed some quality time with his family despite suffering from a chest infection.

In a recent Instagram post, Jonnie was seen with his wife and sons – Rex, four, and twins Rafa and Cormac, three – collecting pumpkins.
Although he admitted he should probably have kept himself indoors given his infection, Jonnie went pumpkin picking with his loved ones in time for Halloween and teased his wife about her ‘obsession’ with the spooky season.
‘Probs should’ve stayed inside with my chest infection but would’ve got too much FOMO missing out on visiting uncle @maccaholmes allotment,’ he wrote on Instagram.
‘Sometimes I need a push and seeing the lads enjoy picking some apples, and pumpkins was superb.
‘Unfortunately feeding @jessofjesmond obsession with Halloween is a downside!’
