Janet Jackson has divided fans after a video from one of her recent concerts showing her smooching one of her backup dancers went viral.
The Come On Get Up hitmaker, 53, is currently performing in the United States as part of her Together Again tour, which saw numerous extra dates added due to popular demand.
But it’s not just her extensive setlist packed full of hits that has fans talking about the tour.
In a clip that has since made waves online, Janet can be seen planting a kiss on her backup dancer, 23-year-old Dario Boatner.
The video shows the pair getting sensual during her onstage show as Janet first stroked Dario’s lips before going in for a kiss.
Fans have been left divided by the onstage PDA, with some applauding the pair and others airing their distaste at the steamy scenes.

Many applauded Dario for the moment, reflecting on how his career has progressed from social media videos to performing alongside the musical legend.
‘This man went from dancing to the beat of banging school lockers, to kissing Janet Jackson on stage. That’s incredible,’ one fan tweeted
Another user agreed, writing: ‘I really watched dario go from making ig dance videos to kissing janet jackson live….. the growth is inspiring (sic).’
Others simply pointed out how much they loved seeing an older woman in touch with her sexuality, with one Twitter user writing: ’57yrs old Janet Jackson kissing on stage. Things I Love to see.’
‘Ma’am has BEEN doing this for ages. Who cares how old she is, she’s selling out shows and having fun. I’m here for it motha,’ another said.
Some users just couldn’t contain their excitement altogether, branding both parties ‘so f*****g lucky’ to lock lips, and others saying they were ‘jealous as hell.’
Some, however, were quick to point out the age gap between the pair and showed concern for the fact Janet was kissing a much younger man.
‘Swear Janet Jackson out here kissing 23 year olds?!?!’ one person tweeted.
Another agreed, writing: ‘Janet Jackson is older than the first Nissan and kissing her backup dancers on stage at her humongous age?if it was chris brown we’ll be hearing think pieces (sic).’
It comes after Janet’s nephew TJ Jackson, 44, criticised her for her ‘oversexualised’ performances, saying rather than being sex positive, in his opinion, performing in such a way was allowing herself to be ‘degraded’ and ‘objectified’.
In response to a raunchy performance from one of her shows, he tweeted: ‘I never liked when she did this in concerts either. I don’t like when females are overly sexualized in art…it degrades and objectify’s women in a way that’s not healthy.’
He has since apologised for his comments, saying he didn’t mean to ‘diminish’ aunt while addressing criticism of her.
