James Maddison is back in Tottenham training, ‘feeling good’ and is available to play against Manchester City on Friday, confirmed Ange Postecoglou.
The England midfielder has been out since November with an ankle injury but the Spurs boss said he is ‘available to start’ in the FA Cup fourth round clash with the Premier League champions.
He also said Ben Davies and Dane Scarlett are close to a return to the first team after training with the squad this week.
‘Everyone from the last game has got through well, we gave the boys few days off which I think was good for them,’ said the Australian.
‘Since the return Madders is back training with the group which is good, he’s feeling good.
‘Ben and Dane Scarlett have begun training with the group, so it’s good, we’re getting the numbers back up.’
Dejan Kulusevski missed the 2-2 draw with Manchester United last time out through illness, but Postecoglou confirmed: ‘He’s fine.’

Spurs are still missing some players, with Heung-min Son, Yves Bissouma and Pape Sarr away on international duty, while others are still recovering from injury.
‘Gio [Lo Celso] is still probably a bit further away, not too far away, but it depends on his recovery,’ said the manager. ‘The next cabs off the rank after that are Gio, Manor [Solomon] and Alejo [Veliz] is a bit after him.
‘Ryan [Sessegnon] is still in rehab. We’re hoping Sess will rejoin us next week if all goes well. Pretty much a reaction to so long out. We have to be careful with him. It’s something he’s been carrying for a while.’
