James Bond favourite’s co-star calls acting with his ripped body ‘a privilege’

The front-runner in the race to take over the role of James Bond has had his impressive physique praised by his co-star as ‘beautiful’ and ‘a privilege to look at’.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who has been the favourite 007 candidate for months according to bookies, takes on another physically demanding role with upcoming superhero flick, Kraven the Hunter.

The Anna Karenina and Kick-Ass star, 34, is playing the titular buff anti-hero/supervillain, who was originally introduced as one of Spider-Man’s antagonists, in the delayed Sony movie.

He is joined in the cast by Oscar-winner Ariana DeBose, who gave the lowdown on his very real muscles.

When presented with a newly released image of him in the film, the West Side Story star coyly told Variety on the red carpet of the Academy Museum Gala: ‘Oh, yeah. Those are real. I had the privilege of looking at those.’

‘I think he might’ve been hungry. But, they’re beautiful,’ she admitted of what came to mind when looking at the picture.

‘I appreciate the male form just like many, many humans on the planet. He is a spectacular human; a beautiful human and so sweet.’

She also made sure to remind fans that Taylor-Johnson was ‘much more than his abs’ and also an ‘incredible actor’.

‘I was very, very proud to work with him,’ she added.

The star’s wife was equally appreciative of his ripped body when the trailer for the film dropped last summer, as she swooned over her husband with a cheeky social media post of him sitting on a throne with his chiseled torso exposed, alongside a pretty brooding expression.

‘Kraving my Hunter 🦁,’ wrote Fifty Shades of Grey filmmaker Sam Taylor-Johnson in the caption.

The movie was set to come out last October before being pushed to this summer and then, eventually, to December.

DeBose plays voodoo priestess Calypso, Kraven’s love interest, in the film, while Russell Crowe, Fred Hechinger, Christopher Abbott and Alessandro Nivola round out the cast.

Conveniently for his possible Bond campaign – although his ‘official’ casting was firmly shut down this year – Taylor-Johnson was also recently declared the most handsome man in the world, at least according to science.

Through computerised facial mapping techniques, developed by Dr Julian de Silva, it has been found that the Bullet Train actor has a 93.04% accuracy rating according to the Greek Golden Ratio of Beauty Phi.

The test is a mathematical equation created to measure physical perfection, with the doctor explaining that the actor, who also has a fan in former Bond girl Britt Ekland, was the ‘clear winner’.

‘What makes Aaron so exceptional is the overall shape of his face, which, with a score of 99.2 percent, is only 0.8 percent off being perfect,’ he said.

‘The width and length of his nose is almost perfect, too, at 98.8 percent. He also has a beautifully sculpted chin which scored well at 95 percent.’

And according to Dr De Silva’s findings, Sir Sean Connery, who played the fictional secret agent first, was the closest actual 007 to Taylor-Johnson on the list with an 89.2 percent rating.

Other actors who scored highly were Lucien Laviscount, 32, Paul Mescal, 28, and Robert Pattinson.

Kraven the Hunter will release in UK cinemas on Friday, December 13.
