Jak Jones upsets Judd Trump in huge World Snooker Championship shock
Jak Jones has landed the biggest win of his career by stunning Judd Trump 13-9 at the Crucible to reach the World Snooker Championship semi-finals for the first time.
Trump arrived in Sheffield as second favourite to lift the trophy after a superb season which saw him win five ranking titles, but suffered a nightmare three sessions against the Welshman.
The world number two knocked in a century in the very first frame but it was all a bit of a struggle from there on in.
With the Ace failing to find his best stuff, the steady and solid Jones won a lot of close frames but also showed off his scoring, with breaks of 117, 94, 87, 74, 69, 61, 55 and 51 before a seemingly nerveless, and stunning, break of 106 in the final frame to get over the line.
