Jade Thirlwall treated fans to a look at a photo shoot from 2010 (Picture: Instagram)
Jade Thirlwall had a rather bizarre way of sharing her love for the Lionesses ahead of their crushing defeat at the Women’s World Cup on Sunday.
Eager to show her support for the ladies in Australia, the former Little Mix star, 30, posted a series of pictures to her Instagram Story.
Dressed in red, the singer poked fun at herself as she uploaded the odd photoshoot that pasted Jade’s head onto a player in a stadium.
In the picture, the hitmaker was seen photoshopped into the foreground of an area as she was cheering on the back of another player.
The next image in her Story uploaded showed Jade in what appeared to be a field kicking a ball away from an open goal pitched up behind her.
She looked baby-faced in the snaps and wore a red long-sleeved top with white shorts and long knee-high red socks.

The star also strangely had on some white stiletto heels for the athletic shoot while she attempted to kick a football.
Offering little explanation for her brief stint as a football model, the ex-girl band member penned a caption across the first image that said: ‘Bringing this stunning photo back from a shoot I did in 2010 to celebrate the women’s final. Don’t ask.’
Her post came before the women met their fate in Sydney and lost the chance at lifting the trophy to a devastating 1-0 loss.
Following their performance, stars flooded the internet with words of praise and thanks for the squad that kept them entertained throughout the performance.
Rio Ferdinand left his spot at a fan zone where he watched the game with Maya Jama and Idris Elba and recorded a message on his Instagram Stories.

The former footballer said: ‘Just leaving the event where we went and watched the game, the Lionesses, man, subdued a bit down obviously but listen, the girls done us proud.
‘It’s going to take time to get over this but they’ve got some big hearts, some big characters, experience and one thing these girls do – as well as any team, if not better than most teams in any sport – is they bring a nation together.
‘They bring people together, men, women, boys, girls, all different ages, all together celebrating and supporting the Lionesses so fantastic World Cup.
‘Great memories created just unfortunate we couldn’t get over the final hurdle but these girls will be back no doubt, I’m sure.’

Carol Vorderman thanked the women for what they had done and gushed: ‘Congratulations Spain…. And thank you Lionesses for all you’ve done for women in the UK.
‘I know it won’t feel like it right now, but from an old bird whose early dreams were stopped by the “system”, you have given us such hope for the future (long after I’ve gone). Thank you.’
