Jack Whitehall has not held back when it comes to judging the standards of The One Show’s studio, comparing its coffee table to ‘a junkie’s carpet’.
The comedian, 34, has been doing the rounds to promote his new tour, Settle Down, over the past week.
Appearing on the BBC programme on Friday, he spoke about the jokes that caused some tension with his girlfriend Roxy Horner, 31, explaining she was happy to be the butt of his jokes, but their beloved poodle was off limits.
On Wednesday Jack was then seen on ITV’s This Morning, where he spoke to hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.
But at the start of their chat, Jack had to make clear how impressed he was with a somewhat surprising detail on the show’s set.
After sharing how his tour was inspired by him ‘becoming an adult, settling down and becoming a little bit more mature’ Jack got a little bit distracted.

‘I feel myself becoming more middle aged,’ he said before noticing some coasters on a coffee table in front of him.
‘Can I say one thing as well, which I am really impressed about, because one trait that I find I am very impressed in myself as an adult, is my love of coasters.
‘It is nice to see finally a show that has coasters.’
He added: ‘I was at The One Show the other day and the state of the table, you would have thought, it was like a junkie’s carpet…and this, this is spotless.’
‘That’s what I like to see.’

Sending the hosts into fits of laughter, Holly then said they made sure to look after their items on set.
‘I’m glad you noticed and appreciated this,’ she joked.
While Jack wasn’t too fussed about sharing his newfound adult love for décor, he did say he recently had to tone down some more mature sex jokes in his show.

After his girlfriend’s parents and extended family attended one of his gigs, Jack said it was ‘horrendous’ and although he still went ahead as planned with his jokes, they were ‘more of a soft serve’.
‘I did take the edge off some of them’ he explained.
The One Show airs weekdays at 7pm on BBC1. This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
