Marshall is set to face tough times in upcoming episodes (Picture: ITV)
Marshall Hamston (Max Fletcher) is set to face even more turbulent times in upcoming episodes of Emmerdale.
The teenager was disowned by his dad Colin Hamston (Mark Noble) after he bravely came out, eventually leaving his clutches after months of abuse and manipulation.
The teen was made to feel as though being gay was something to be ashamed of but, with help from Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) and Arthur Thomas(Alfie Clarke), he’s slowly becoming more comfortable with who he is.
Arthur has wrestled with his feelings for his schoolmate over the past few weeks, airing his disgust when Marshall experiments with Cathy Hope (Gabrielle Dowling).
And things look set to get tougher for the pair as Marshall struggles to cope with his emotions.
But could we be waving goodbye to the teen? Here’s what we know.
Is Marshall leaving Emmerdale?

For now, you’ll just have to see if Marshall will be leaving the Dales for pastures new.
It already looked like Marshall would be leaving the soap when Colin proposed shipping him off to boarding school, though he secretly remained in the village before moving out of his father’s home.
However, some spoilers ahead suggest the character is in for a difficult time.
Marshall catches Cathy with some bottles of vodka she has taken from the B&B, and the troubled teens head off intent on numbing their pain.
On the road to self-destruction, they both take alternative swigs from the vodka bottle and soon start to feel the booze hit.
