Ioan Gruffudd and Bianca Wallace are engaged following his bitter divorce from ex-wife Alice Evans.
Bianca, 31, took to Instagram on Saturday to share their exciting news, posting a photo of herself showing off her emerald ring.
The actress beamed in the snap as she went in to kiss her new fiancé, 50.
Bianca captioned the post: ‘The most precious thing happened…’ alongside a heart and ring emoji.
The pair went public with their relationship in October 2021 after he filed for divorce from ex Alice Evans, 55, in March 2021.
Ioan and Alice – who finalised their divorce in July 2023 – welcomed daughters Ella and Elsie in 2009 and 2013, respectively.
The former couple tied the knot in 2007 after meeting on the set of 2000’s 102 Dalmations.
Things haven’t been easy for Ioan and Alice since the actor filed for divorce, with him obtaining a three-year restraining order against his ex in 2022.
The custody battle over their two daughters continues.
Ioan previously spoke about the scrutiny that befalls those living in the spotlight, confessing: ‘You can’t train for that.’
Speaking about how he navigates his off-screen life, Ioan said: ‘It’s experience of having lived in the public eye from an early age.
‘I was in the Welsh language soap opera Pobol y Cwm from the age of 11, so people knew who I was in that community,’ he continued.
The star, who grew up in Aberdare and Cardiff, added to Radio Times: ‘You can’t train for that scrutiny as an actor, but it’s been part and parcel of what it is to be an actor. It’s a contract.’
