FORGET designer clothes, supercars and superyachts, the ultimate way for a celebrity to showcase their wealth is with a private jet.
But flaunting their luxurious aircrafts online can sometimes land the world’s most famous entertainers in hot water – like Taylor Swift this week.
The Karma singer, 34, has just flogged the smaller of her two high-end private jets after being slammed for her carbon footprint over a planned 19,200-mile trip in just 10 days.
The controversial trip – between Tokyo, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Melbourne – was expected to produce 122 tons of C02 emissions according to Yard and cost around $23,250 (£18,400) in fuel.
Last year, she was labelled the world’s most carbon-polluting celebrity by the publication, when they claimed she had racked up 170 flights between January and August.
Her lawyers sternly refuted the claim, insisting Taylor often lends the private jet to other celebs.
