Christian Oliver, 51, whose real name was Christian Klepser, has died in a plane crash along with his two daughters.
Royal Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force confirmed the news on social media.
They took to Facebook and wrote of how a small one-engine aircraft had crashed into the sea one mile west of Petit Nevis off the coast of Bequia on Thursday at around midday.
They confirmed the death of US actor Oliver and his two daughters – Madita Klepser, 10, and Annik Klepser, 12 – after the aircraft ‘plummeted’ into the ocean, a moment which was caught on camera.
The pilot was identified as Robert Sachs, who also owned the plane and died alongside the family in the crash.
‘The aircraft went airborne from the J.F. Mitchell Airport in Paget Farm about 12:11 p.m. for St. Lucia as its final destination,’ RSVG Police Force said.
‘Moments after taking off, the aircraft experienced difficulties and plummeted into the ocean.

‘Fishermen and divers from Paget Farm went to the scene of the incident in their boats to render assistance. The SVG Coast Guard was informed and quickly traveled to Paget Farm, Bequia, to lead in the rescue efforts.
‘The four bodies of the aforementioned persons were recovered from the aircraft/sea by Coast Guard personnel and were later pronounced deceased by a medical practitioner.
‘The bodies were transported to St. Vincent on board the Coast Guard vessel and were taken to the Kingstown Mortuary, where post-mortem examinations are expected to be carried out to ascertain the cause of death.

‘The RSVGPF expresses condolences to all who are negatively affected by this tragic incident. The RSVGPF will update the public as more information is gathered. Investigation into the matter continues.’
According to local reports as per Deadline, the pilot radioed the tower not long after take off reporting issues and said he was considering turning back. That was the last they heard from the plane.
Oliver’s last Instagram post saw him welcoming 2024 in ‘paradise’.
‘Let love rule wishing you all the best for 2024!’ he wrote over a seaside image, as he commented: ‘Greetings from somewhere in paradise! To community and love …2024 her we come!’
Oliver appeared in the latest installment of Indiana Jones – in which Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Harrison Ford also starred.
His other major film credits include Speed Racer, Valkyrie and The Good German, which he starred in alongside Cate Blanchett, while he also appeared in TV show Hunters for five episodes as The Wolf.
