I’m A Celebrity’s Alan Halsall’s brother makes feelings crystal clear over Tulisa ‘romance’

The brother of Alan Halsall has weighed in on rumours of a potential romance with I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! campmate Tulisa.

The Coronation Street star, 42, is appearing on the current season of the ITV reality series alongside the former X Factor judge and N-Dubz singer, 36.

Last week they spoke about romantic relationships on the show, with Tulisa revealing she was ‘proper guarded’ and sharing she was demi-sexual and needed to have a ‘really close emotional bond’ with someone before experiencing sexual attraction.

Meanwhile Alan spoke about being ‘on my own’ and explained he’d ‘never done dating apps’.

During the season premiere the pair teamed up and won a race to become the first camp leaders, seeing them also get the privilege of sleeping in the luxurious Leaders’ Lodge with beds with mattresses next to each other.

Viewers have commented on the chance of the two hitting it off as more than friends, with several of their loved ones now speaking about whether it could happen.

‘You never know do you. I don’t know whether he is looking for a relationship or not? You just never know what’s around the corner, but she is a nice enough girl,’ Stephen Halsall told The Mirror when arriving in Australia this week.

Meanwhile, Tulisa’s friend Michelle McKenna also shared what she thought of the two potentially dating.

‘I would love her to meet someone…I love Alan, but I think they are little besties in there. They would actually make a dead cute couple. We will have to wait and see. And he is a northerner. You never know,’ she said.

It comes after she also said on Lorraine this week that she thought Tulisa ‘would like to meet someone as it’s been a while’ but that the singer was ‘going with the flow’ and would wait to ‘find the right one’.

On the same ITV show Alan’s Corrie co-star Andy Whyment commenting on the pair clearly ‘getting on really well’.

‘We know they’ve been sharing the hideout at the top so I’m sure they’ve been having a few conversations there and obviously, they won the first trial together on the very first show,’ he told the host.

‘Listen, good luck to him. He’s obviously a single lad and I think Tulisa is single so we shall see what happens. Watch this space,’ he added.

Alan was previously married to his Corrie co-star Lucy-Jo Hudson. The pair, who share 11-year-old daughter Sienna, split for good in 2018 after a brief separation two years earlier.

Tulisa previously dated N-Dubz bandmate Fazer, Skins actor Jack O’Connell and Cher’s nephew David King.

Last year she also spoke to Metro about being ‘celibate’ for two years and how she didn’t plan to have sex again until a committed and monogamous relationship.

‘I don’t date, I court. So basically, you are courting because you like to build friendships before you start dating, you just don’t shag them and you get to know them,’ she said.

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! continues tonight at 9pm on ITV1.
