I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! viewers have shocked themselves with how their opinions have changed of one controversial signing.
No, not Nigel Farage, but Jamie Lynn Spears.
Britney Spears’ younger sister was far from a favourite among fans when she entered the camp, given her strained relationship with the Toxic hitmaker.
Die-hard fans of Brit’s had plenty to say about Jamie Lynn joining I’m A Celeb, fresh off her Dancing With The Stars stint, as she has previously accused of not being there for her famous sibling during her 13-year conservatorship.
Britney previously said that her family ‘should all be in jail’ for allowing the conservatorship to continue for so long, slamming Jammie Lynn for ‘capitalising’ off her traumatic ordeal by making money off it.
So, as you can imagine, Britney’s fanbase wasn’t thrilled when they learned she’d be appearing on their TV screens each night.

However, it looks like opinions are shifting as Jamie Lynn opens up more in camp.
On Monday night, Jamie Lynn became incredibly emotional as she opened up about how her daughter nearly died from drowning.
The actress and singer recalled the incident when her eldest daughter got caught under a quad bike when she was a child.
‘I almost lost my oldest daughter… she drowned and we couldn’t save her. We tried really hard,’ she said, becoming tearful.
‘She was trapped under a little side-by-side that we ride around our pond. This is in 2017 so she was eight or nine or something like that.’
Jamie Lynn recalled how she, her husband, and her parents-in-law rushed to save the girl before emergency teams arrived.

‘When they got there, she was not alive. They took her from me and they intubated her. Then the firefighter came over three seconds later and was like, “We’ve got a pulse, we’ve got a pulse.”
‘They airlifted her… she’s hooked up on life support, breathing machines and all that… they come in, a priest to read her her last rites, and when they did, her body physically sat up, her spirit responded to it for whatever reason. She got better and better every day and walked out of the hospital.’
Jamie Lynn added that this was what inspired her to become Catholic.
She was comforted by her fellow campmates, such as dad-of-three Marvin Humes, who agreed that, as a fellow parent, he would give ‘himself’ up in that situation to save his children.
Reacting to the emotional scenes, viewers reluctantly admitted that they were warming to Jamie Lynn.
One person wrote on X (formerly Twitter): ‘Unpopular opinion but I like Jamie Lynn’.
‘Can’t believe I’m rooting for Jamie Lynn, we love a Character redemption’, penned another.
‘Anyone else quite liking Jamie-Lynn now?’, asked another.
Despite not being Jamie Lynn’s biggest fan, one viewer really felt for her.
‘Now I don’t particularly like Jamie lynn spears but I did feel for her when she was talking about her daughters near death experience I think anyone who’s a mum can empathise with her! It’s a parents worst nightmare and I’m glad her daughters okay.’
Grappling with their initial feelings on Jamie Lynn, one torn fan shared: ‘jamie lynn is coming off well but knowing her role in the conservatorship just irks me every time shes on screen’.
Stunned at how their opinion has changed, another said: ‘Can’t believe I’m warming up to Jamie Lynn.’

Jamie Lynn initially avoided mentioning her famous sister in camp, but it didn’t take long for her fellow campmates to probe.
Chef Fred Sirieix grilled her on what it was like to grow up with such a famous family member.
Admitting that she idolised Britney, Jamie said: ‘Anything my sister did, I always thought was the best.’
She continued: ‘When it came to my sister, even if I felt anything, if anyone said anything, I was ready to go. I was like, “Don’t talk about my sister, she’s the best.” And so literally I just thought – and by the way, in today’s world it would mean nothing – but it was this iconic moment that they went with and it happened and it’s what they did.’
Things did get slightly awkward, though, when JamieFrankie Dettori jumped in.
He couldn’t resist asking: ‘Is it true you don’t get on with her now?’
‘I love my sister,’ Jamie Lynn quickly retorted, refusing to elaborate further.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues on Tuesday at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
