The winner of I’m A Celebrity…South Africa has been announced, with Myleene Klass taking out the title.
Going into the final, the four famous faces left were former Olympic javelin thrower Fatima Whitbread, Diversity dancer and Kiss FM presenter Jordan Banjo, former Hear’Say singer and presenter Myleene and former England cricketer Phil Tufnell.
It’s now been 17 years since Myleene, 45, first appeared on the show and was at the centre of a scene that has gone down in the show’s history when rocking a eye-catching white bikini.
The previous times they had appeared on the reality show, Fatima had come third in season 11, Jordan had been named ninth in season 16, Myleene came second in season 6 and Phil was named King of the Jungle way back in the second season.
However the finale episode began with Phil being voted out by the jury of ex-campmates as they put the final three through.
‘It sits absolutely fine with me and I couldn’t think of three better people to be up there,’ he said.
While the remaining three thought they were all done with the trials, their hopes were quickly dashed when they were taken out of camp and told they would be tackling Critter Countdown – a trial where they’d have a helmet placed over their head, which would then be filled with creepy crawlies.

Told they would have to count and try get the closest to six minutes to go through to the final two, Fatima took her sweet time, spending 15 minutes and 10 seconds waiting before the game eventually ended.
Her approach to try and wait things out was unsuccessful, and she was sent packing.
Upon returning to camp, Jordan and Myleene reflected on their respective returns to the jungle and what they had achieved.
The next day it came time to leave camp for good as they went to take on their final trial.
The final hurdle was titled All You Can Stomach, but was an eating trial with a difference.

Across the nine rounds, the duo were given a head’s up on what food item would be coming up and had to calculate how many of which item they could stomach, with the person with the higher number being forced to chow them down.
If they managed to do so, it was a point for them, but if they failed the point went to their opponent.
Some of the stomach-churning items included fermented eggs, pig snouts, chicken intestines’, mice tails and stinky tofu.
Whilst he powered through at times, it looked like the task might have been too much for Jordan as he started dry retching.

Despite making it to the end of two seasons, this was the first time Myleene had ever participated in an eating challenge too.
‘I’ve always been glad that I’ve avoided it but … bring it on,’ she declared before things kicked off.
She didn’t hesitate though, and at one point even chowed down 60 mice tails.
Then challenging herself to eat 40 portions of stinky tofu, things became pretty tense as she had five minutes to down them all.

With 20 seconds to spare, she achieved the ambitious task and was crowned the winner (after a quick retch in the bushes).
Speaking after her win, Myleene said being a mum felt like a ‘superpower’ this time around, and that she was driven to succeed to make her children proud.
She said being in the jungle had not only given her courage, but many life-long friendships.
‘You can’t do it alone… I am blown away at the friendships I’ve come away with.’

Fans watching on at home were thoroughly impressed with her efforts.
‘Take a bow Myleene. Well deserved winner and LEGEND,’ one person posted on Twitter.
‘You are actually superhuman,’ someone else wrote.
Another added: ‘ Myleene is the most deserving winner.’
However another had a word of warning: ‘Myleene please get your stomach checked out after this trial.’

Due to being pre-recorded last year, the series saw the campmates put each other forward for trials and helped to decide who was sent home.
This time around there was also no public vote to determine the winner.
I’m A Celebrity…South Africa is streaming on ITVX.
