I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! bosses are said to be ‘fuming’ at Nigel Farage for using tactics to pick up more votes.

The former UKIP leader is currently one of the famous faces appearing on the latest season the reality series.

Since being announced as part of the line-up, his casting has been met with significant backlash, with some even calling for a boycott of the series.

Meanwhile his fellow campmates have also not held back from speaking their minds after meeting him.

However now his behaviour is reported to have incensed the show’s bosses after they noticed him wearing his campmate T-shirt back to front so his voting number was more visible.

Doing so means he could get more votes from members of the public who could now see it more clearly.

‘He is a wannabe politician, so of course he is using every sneaky trick in the book to try to be king,’ a source told The Mirror.

It comes after the 59-year-old right-wing politician was also accused of baring his bum in the waterfall shower in a bid to get more airtime.

This Morning presenter Josie Gibson was horrified when she was confronted by a naked Farage in the jungle shower earlier this week.

Speaking in the Bush Telegraph afterwards, she said: ‘Freaking hell! I wasn’t expecting to see Nigel Farage’s bottom so soon! But I’ve seen worse. No, I haven’t. I haven’t! Fair play to him. He’s not shy, he just gets on in there. At least he’s clean.’

Earlier this week Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid also took aim at Farage and labelled him ‘desperate’ after he said he would ‘never say never’ to the prospect of running for Prime Minister.

While Farage has failed in his efforts to be elected to the House of Commons seven times, he said he’d consider it depending on ‘how much mess the country gets in’, before going to say he had ‘no idea’ if it would ever happen.

However, watching the clip back, Susanna exclaimed: ‘He wasn’t quick to rule it out! Honestly Nigel, don’t be so disingenuous!

‘You’re desperate to stand for Prime Minister!’

Ahead of entering camp, the former politician said he believed ‘millions of people’ hated him and was also expecting a ‘frosty’ reception from some of his campmates.

Reflecting on why he thought viewers would vote for him, he said: ‘Given millions hate me, I do expect people will vote for me to do trials!’

Metro.co.uk has contacted ITV for comment.

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! continues tonight at 9.30pm on ITV1.
