I’m A Celebrity… South Africa fans weren’t happy with presenters Ant and Dec on Thursday evening as they watched Myleene Klass and Andy Whyment battle it out for a space in the main camp.

Picked to compete in a bushtucker trial for the chance to join the rest of the celebrity campmates, the TV host, 45, and the soap star, 42, endured insects and creepy crawlies galore on the fourth night of the jungle.

They were asked a series of South African related questions and won a point for every correct answer.

Their heads were strapped inside clear plastic bowls which filled with a variety of creatures if the celebrity failed to give Ant and Dec the answer they wanted.

However, viewers immediately noticed an inequality in the difficulty level when it came to the questions and claimed Myleene was getting an easier go than Andy.

One penned on Twitter: ‘This is a set up… poor Andy,’ while another noted: ‘Myleene’s answer was wrong the answer was femur not fumer. She should not have got that second point. Plus Andy’s questions were a lot harder than hers [sic].’

‘Is someone hooked up to a mic to give Myleene all of these answers she doesn’t know,’ a fan questioned and a different account claimed: ‘Nah this trial is rigged [sic].’

An audience member further said: ‘This is so fixed for Myleene to go to main camp [sic].’

Elsewhere on Thursday night’s show, TV personality Gillian McKeith revealed to one contestant – away from the other celebrities – that she had smuggled some contraband into camp.

However, the series hosts – which sees all star celebrities who have competed on previous seasons of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! return – suspected the 63-year-old might not be the only one.

A Bush Bulletin read on the pre-recorded show, by Georgia Toffolo, said: ‘Celebrities, there is contraband in camp.

‘You will not get your dinner until you’ve surrendered all contraband. There’s an amnesty bowl in the Telegraph.’

The spin-off show sees no king or queen of the jungle crowned and instead contestants compete for the title of I’m A Celebrity… Legend as they face a series of trials.

I’m A Celebrity… South Africa airs on Thursday on ITV1 and ITVX at 9pm.
