Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds are making the most of their free time as production on Deadpool 3 is stalled due to strikes, by catching a Wrexham FC match.
The pair are joining up for the new Marvel film which sees Hugh take on the X-Men character for the first time since 2017’s Logan.
Fans went absolutely wild for the announcement Wolverine and Deadpool would be teaming up, with excitement building when shots emerged from the set showing the characters engaged in a savage battle.
But production has now been stopped on the film thanks to both the writers’ strike and, later, the actors’ strike, being called for multiple reasons including demands for fair pay.
Deadpool 3 was filming in England, and the famous duo headed to Wales on Saturday to catch Wrexham’s match against MK Dons at home.
While it wasn’t a win for the team owned by Ryan and It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia star Rob McElhenney, it was an absolute thriller, with Wrexham losing out by three goals to MK Dons’ five.

Hugh and Ryan appeared to be in top spirits despite the loss – and the decidedly un-summery weather with wind and rain – as they were spotted happily posing for photos with young fans and chatting to matchgoers.
The Greatest Showman actor Hugh showed his team colours with a Wrexham cap, while Ryan wore the crest on a rainjacket.
Rob, meanwhile, went all-out with a red poncho to shield him from the rain as he shouted for his team in the stands, looking both elated and concerned at different points as the gals started flying in from both sides.

Eerie photos emerged the day after the actors’ strike was called showing the Deadpool set abandoned and empty, just days after a huge team of crew and stars were seen working on scenes.
Discussions aimed to seek out a fairer split of streaming profits, and a guarantee that artificial intelligence (AI) will not be used to replace duties performed by actors, failed after weeks of talks.
This led to the almost instant shutdown of productions, and actors walking out of their own film premiere, such as the cast of Oppenheimer leaving the star-studded London premiere.
The eagerly-anticipated Marvel sequel had been slated for release on May 3, 2024, with this date now in question amid delays.
However, some productions will continue filming regardless of strike action, with Game Of Thrones prequel series House Of The Dragon garnering controversy for announcing they will not shut down.
