Hugh Grant ponders move into politics despite ‘absolutely terrifying’ abuse
Hugh Grant has considered a move into politics despite being bombarded with horrific abuse in the past for his views.
The Love Actually star, who played the Prime Minister in Richard Curtis’ 2003 classic, is set to star as former chancellor Edward Keplinger opposite Kate Winslet’s Elena Vernham in new HBO series The Regime.
He’s got plenty of experience playing a politician on screen, and he’s even pondered the idea of a real life move into the political realm.
‘It has crossed my mind,’ he told Entertainment Weekly, although his experience campaigning in the 2019 General Election has soured him on the idea.
