Coleen Rooney shredded any of the finery that normally comes with the Wag lifestyle to tell her ‘very simple and linear message’ during the Wagatha Christie trial, according to an expert.
The mother-of-four, 37, shunned designer labels and power dressing and styled herself as more ‘legal team’ than footballer Wayne Rooney’s wife as she faced Rebekah Vardy in court as the first look at her tell-all Disney Plus documentary was revealed.
Body language expert Judi James told Metro.co.uk that in the three pictures released of Coleen in the upcoming three-parter she wants to ‘stick to the facts’ and ‘keep it all straight and down the line’, reflected in her modest outfit.
She said: ‘Coleen’s visual statement here is emphatically Wag-free in terms of body language and styling. The courtroom poses show a woman who might be a stranger to designer dressing and any form of glamorous lifestyle, sitting modestly but calmly with all her non-verbal signals pared back to create a very simple and linear message.
‘The shoulder pads are off here, so there’s no suggestion of power-dressing. She sits slightly diminished to imply she’s humbled by the courtroom setting but also confident in her version of “right”.
‘Her hair is plaited in a neat frame around her face but then it hangs down, long and straight, while her face is turned upward, presumably towards the judge, with an expression of what looks like calm justification and honesty from the direct gaze of her wide eyes and the closed but not clamped lips.’

Judi explained the open notebook suggests Coleen is ‘ready to go’ while the ‘very slight angle of her forward lean’ implies that she’s keen to tell her version of the saga.
She continued: ‘Outside the courtroom she adopts a look that suggests “legal team” more than Wag-in-the dock. Again the look is serious and overall slightly dour. Even the handbag is plain black, suggesting she’s going to keep it all straight and down the line, sticking to the facts as she sees them.’

It will look at the circumstances around her viral social media post in which she said she had carried out a months-long ‘sting operation’ and accused Rebekah Vardy, the wife of footballer Jamie Vardy, of leaking “false stories” about her private life to the press.
In a trial that gripped the nation last summer, Rebekah, 40, lost a libel battle against Coleen over the post, after a High Court judge found it was ‘substantially true.’
Her sleuthing efforts saw her dubbed Wagatha Christie in reference to the popular mystery writer.
