Hope Street will shortly return to our screens for its highly-anticipated third series and a brand new trailer confirms that its bringing a truly jaw-dropping twist with it.
The popular BBC One daytime drama, which centres on the lives of residents and the police department of seaside town Port Devine, has proven so popular with viewers that, this time around, it’s got extended run of 15 episodes.
In typical Hope Street fashion, fans can expect plenty of drama, with the first trailer of the show’s upcoming series confirming a secret, and it’s one that will seemingly rock the foundations of the show.
Despite last season’s cliffhanger, life is good in Port Devine when we find our mainstays again, with Finn and Siobhan O’Hare (Ciarán McMenamin) seemingly close to a reunion.
Siobhan, however, knows too well the damage that keeping things from a spouse can do to a marriage and therefore this time around she’s determined to do things right, meaning no secrets.

This spells bad news for Concepta (Bríd Brennan), who is harbouring a massive secret, which Siobhan is privy to, telling her mum-in-law in the trailer that she must come clean.
Consider us very intrigued.
Much like the first two series, Northern Irish audiences will get to see Hope Street’s third series first, with series three debuting on BBC One NI on Monday October 30th.
While the rest of the UK can expect a BBC Daytime airing next year, Metro.co.uk understands that the first eight episodes will go straight to iPlayer on Monday evening so, if you’re desperate for the next slice of Port Devine action, you needn’t wait until then.
