Hollyoaks actress Jessica Fox surprised fans with a brand new look after a visit to the salon on Tuesday.
The star – known for her role as Nancy Hayton on the Channel 4 soap – took to her Instagram to show off her fresh cut after she spent the day in the hairdresser’s chair.
Jessica, 40, snapped a selfie that showed her brunette locks cropped into a long bob and poker-straight fringe.
She styled the new look in subtle beachy waves and documented the process on her Instagram Stories, posing with foil in her hair as she waited for the transformation to happen.
The soap star then recorded footage of the finished look on her social media and joyously danced around in the mirror, shaking her hair back and forth.
As well as her fleeting moments, the uploaded a static image with a lengthy caption, admitting having her hair freshly cut was like ‘therapy’.
The note to her followers read: ‘Oh hello, nothing to see here. Just me with my hair done for the first time in almost 6 months!
‘Getting my hair done by @jayne_littler is like therapy for me. Not only is she a genius and always steers my hair in the right direction, she does it for my soul too.
‘I was extremely nervous about today and how it would work with River in tow but a huge thank you to @collingeandco for being so incredibly accommodating, kind, patient and caring and a massive thank you to @nicholaswilles and River for making it work so I can feel more myself! [sic]’

She continued sharing details about her experience: ‘Also want to take a second to big up my @prettymama_maternity tshirt – I love these for when I’m out of the house.
‘The zips are in the perfect position for feeding in the wild and they are just damn cool, a wardrobe staple [sic].’
Her hair-tastic news came after she let fans in on life as a mum and spoke candidly about the challenges she was facing taking River out and about.

Alongside adorable snaps of the little one, she outlined her battle with ‘car journeys’ and explained that she was struggling to make the baby boy comfortable.
Jessica welcomed her first child with her husband Nicholas Willes earlier this year in March.
