Dave Chen-Williams (Dominic Power) has been harbouring a huge secret in Hollyoaks, and son Sam (Matthew McGivern) has seemingly unearthed what is.
Sam, as viewers know, was horrified earlier this week to find out that his own uncle, Ethan Williams (Matthew James-Bailey), had murdered Maya Harkwell (Ky Discala).
The policeman was intent on going to the police, but Dave talked him out of it, urging him to give his uncle another chance. After giving it some thought, Sam agreed to keep shtum, but kicked Ethan out of the family home.
Dave, meanwhile, was determined to ensure the secret went no further, but Honour (Vera Chok) overheard their conversation and encouraged Sam to tell her everything.
Sam ultimately did just that, but despite his efforts to let this go, he couldn’t shake the feeling that there was more going on here than meets the eye, and thus he started doing some digging.
His investigation didn’t turn up anything new on Ethan. Dave, however, was another story.
The policeman discovered that his biological mum Flora had taken out a restraining order against Dave two decades ago!
The discovery rendered him speechless, and he subsequently confided in Honour, who resolved to get to the bottom of what was going on.
The question is: why did Flora take a restraining order out against Dave?
