Hollyoaks has confirmed what Nancy Osborne’s (Jessica Fox) exit storyline will entail, following her discovery that baby Morgan will need major heart surgery.
The head teacher made a big decision in Wednesday’s (March 22) first look edition of the Channel 4 soap, resolving to fly to the US so that the surgery could be carried out by Dr Laithwaite, who is an expert in this particular medical field.
‘Could you please ask Dr Laithwaite to perform the surgery?’, Nancy asked of Dr Dowler, who is currently looking after Morgan, adding that she and Darren (Ashley Taylor Dawson) could ‘fly out’ the following day.
Darren wasn’t convinced that this was the right call, but Nancy was adamant that this the best move for her beloved baby girl.
‘If America is where we need to go to get our little girl better then America is where we’re going!’, she exclaimed, leaving Darren speechless.
The storyline in question, which kicked off earlier this week when Charlie Dean (Charlie Behan) discovered that Morgan’s foot had turned blue, will facilitate the exit of star Jessica Fox, who is off on maternity leave.

Jessica revealed last week that she had welcomed a baby boy named River, taking to social media to share the news with her followers.
‘Baby River, you have changed our world forever,’ she wrote, revealing her little one’s name. ‘We are so grateful we get to love you.’
