Juliet was heartbroken by news from her latest scan as she shared an update with Peri (Picture: Lime Pictures)
Juliet Nightingale (Niamh Blackshaw) was left in tears in Hollyoaks as she found out that she would need a stem cell transplant on top of more chemotherapy.
The popular character, as viewers know, was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma last year and has been undergoing treatment in a bid to fight for her life.
After a number of weeks, Jules was informed that her chemo wasn’t working and therefore had to undergo a more aggressive form treatment, before attending another PET scan to find out if this round of treatment had been successful.
In a bid to take her girlfriend’s mind off the appointment, Peri Lomax (Ruby O’Donnell) whisked Juliet away to Brighton for a day out, after getting wind of the fact that Jules had always been keen to go.
The day was everything the couple could’ve wanted it to be, with Juliet resolving to spend the rest of her days with soulmate Peri, before dancing the night away.
Peri, however, was devastated to discover that she’d misplaced their bag, meaning they had lost their phones, money and tickets to return home, but UK Drag Race winner Danny Beard came to their rescue, offering to give them a lift back to Chester.

Tuesday’s (March 14) first look edition of the Channel 4 soap saw the trip in question take place, but upon getting into Danny’s Drag Wagon, Juliet started to fear finding out her test results.
Peri tried desperately to reassure her, as did Danny, but a comment from a troll during a livestream left Juliet upset, as she resolved to stay away from her appointment.

Danny, however, came to the rescue, offering Juliet a makeover, which did the trick, leaving the 20-year-old more determined than ever to face her cancer head on.
The concluding moments of the episode saw Juliet return home to inform Peri of her results, revealing that the treatment is working. However, doctors told her that her cancer is ‘aggressive’ and therefore she needs more chemo in addition to a stem cell transplant.
Juliet broke down in Peri’s arms, but made it clear that she’s no longer scared of her illness and is determined to fight.
