Juliet left everyone a parting message in an emotional Hollyoaks outing that saw the popular character laid to rest (Picture: Lime Pictures)
Juliet Nightingale (Niamh Blackshaw) surprised her loved ones in Hollyoaks with a list of rules, or ‘commandments’, for them to live their life by now that she’s no longer with them.
The popular character tragically died earlier this year, after a battle with Hodgkin’s lymphoma, which came as a shock to both the residents of the soap and the fans at home.
Peri Lomax (Ruby O’Donnell), who devoted her life to soulmate Juliet, has spent the last few months organising her funeral, with some assistance from Romeo Nightingale (Owen Warner), who was distracted on the day of the service after Rayne Royce (Jemma Donovan) told him she’d found a lump.
Romeo, as a result of attending a hospital appointment with his girlfriend, missed Juliet’s funeral, which infuriated Peri, Donna-Marie Quinn (Lucy-Jo Hudson) and James Nightingale (Gregory Finnegan).
Despite the animosity and differing ideas of what it should look like, however, the funeral proved to be the perfect send-off to Juliet, with Peri delivering a beautiful eulogy, before dancing around the church with Jules’ friends and family, just like Juliet wanted.
Our hearts are full.

After the service, Peri revealed that Juliet had recorded video messages for her loved ones, which contained one rule on how each respective viewer should live their life.
She called these Juliet’s commandments.
James broke down in tears watching his personalised video, as Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson) held his hand, with Juliet telling him to hold on tight to his beau and to look after Donna-Marie, before instructing him to enjoy life, which is ‘short’.

Peri, meanwhile, was told to go back to nursing, with Juliet reminding her that she’s got a gift for the profession, while Romeo was asked to live life to the fullest because he’s ‘living for the two of them’ now.
No, you’re crying.

Ollie Morgan (Gabriel Clarke), meanwhile, made a surprise return to the show in a post-credit scene, as he appeared at Juliet’s graveside to say goodbye, with Imran Maalik (Ijaz Rana) appearing via video call, as did Danny Beard, who met Jules in Brighton earlier this year.
Juliet was truly loved and we’ll miss her terribly.
