Holly Willoughby has said she’s ‘clinging on with every fibre of her being’ as summer fades into September and the return to school looms.
The This Morning star, 42, has had a lush summer holidays with her and her husband Daniel Baldwin’s three children and the family even enjoyed a sun-drenched getaway to Portugal.
But alas, all good things must come to an end, as Holly admitted this week when she reflected on her ‘blink and you’ll miss it summer’.
Holly, who is said to be looking forward to a huge pay rise when she returns to the This Morning sofa on September 4, wrote in her most recent Wylde Moon newsletter: ‘It really has been a case of blink and you’ll miss it this summer – in every sense!
‘I can feel myself clinging on with every fibre of my being as conversations about school start to drip feed back into our life.’
According to HELLO!, she added: ‘I even popped the obligatory September kit list on the fridge this morning having got the kids to try everything on to see what we need.

‘I swear I only bought new football boots last term…their feet never stop growing!’
Holly also said: ‘We’re not quite at the end just yet though and with the last Bank Holiday hurrah incoming, I’ve got everything crossed for a bit of late sunshine so we can see the summer out with family and friends in the back garden.’

Earlier this month it was reported that Holly’s This Morning salary is set to be boosted from £700,000 a year to up to £1million a year.
A source shared: ‘Holly’s pay deal is up for negotiation in a few months so they are putting together a lucrative package that will reflect her added responsibility without Phil, and they are prepared to go up to £1million a year.’
They added to The Sun: ‘Producers will splash the cash on showbiz guests, and exclusive human interest stories. Viewers can expect lots of glitz and glamour. But Holly will definitely be the jewel in their crown.’
