Rachael Hallam, headteacher at Oldham Academy North, is being investigated after she made inappropriate tweets 10 years ago

A foul-mouthed headteacher is being investigated over historic Twitter posts in which she called a pupil ‘Jabba the slut’ on Twitter.

Rachael Hallam, now headteacher of Oldham Academy North in Greater Manchester, branded pupils ‘slags’ on social media in tweets posted 10 years ago.

She also mocked the ‘chavvy’ pupils and called another a ‘massive slag’.

In one post, she said: ‘We can throw things at the chav, a classic example of having no GCSEs.’

Actress Jameela Jamil tweeted ‘Jabba the sl*t’ was the ‘best name I’ve heard’, to which Ms Hallam responded: ‘We used to call a girl at school this. I’m the teacher.’

She also tweeted in response to another Twitter user: ‘But Dale, you are black.’

After the allegations were spread on social media Ms Hallam’s twitter account was swiftly deleted.

Ms Hallam was responding to a tweet from actress Jameela Jamil when she revealed she called a pupil ‘Jabba the slut’

However screenshots have already been spread across Twitter and Tiktok

A spokesperson for E-ACT, the trust that runs the school, said: ‘We are aware of allegations relating to historical social media activity by a member of staff at one of our academies, prior to their employment with us.

‘We take any allegation of discrimination seriously.

The headteacher also made fun of ‘chavvy’ pupils

Following the tweets being discovered the headteacher is now under investigation by the school trust

‘We are reviewing the material that has come to our attention and will handle this through our usual internal processes.’

It comes as a grammar school teacher was caught watching porn during class and then trying to delete the evidence from his internet history.

David Chidlow was fired from Maidstone Grammar School in Kent after admitting to switching between the live lesson and the graphic website a number of times.

A misconduct hearing was told the 59-year-old also looked at profiles of women on the site and chatted to them ‘for sexual gratification’.
