Harpo supported more than 450 projects of Gallegas SMEs in 2024

The public-private collaboration between Uparpo and the Galician Institute for Economic Promotion (IGAPE)-dependent of the Xunta-resulted in in 2024 a new increase in activity for the SGR and greater access to financing with autonomic public product for Galician SMEs . This casuistry occurs in an exercise that has been characterized in the sector due to the combination of a productivity drop attributed to the increase in labor costs and high interest rates before the de -escalation initiated in June.

In this context, Robepo gave last year 462 guarantees to 343 companies through the IGAPE lines, for a joint amount of 51.7 million and with an investment generated of 61 million. In the comparison with 2023, these figures represent more than double granted guarantees and companies covered by ropearpo with financing product of the Xunta and more of the triple in amount of the guarantees, in induced investment and in employment protected with 4,340 jobs consolidated in 2024 and 1,418 in 2023.

The validity since January 2024 of the IGAPE annual agreement justifies the increases in the year with regional financing lines and the greatest accessibility for SMEs and self -employed. The president of Uparpo, Artur Yuste, emphasizes that in 2024 there were “one more than notable strengthening of the financing of company projects in Galicia” and the coverage of the guarantees that the business sector has been demanding.

The IGAPE lines channeled 52% of the entire operating operation by number of guarantees and companies. The weight of the public product of the Xunt public and private.

Within the risk portfolio (guarantees with validity today) of the entity, which already approaches the 200 million euros, the IGAPE operations rise to 86.4 million per amount and 119.5 million by induced investment. In this way, in a year – comparative with 2023 – they grew by 71% and 42%, respectively.
