Hackers on loose as 9,000 data leaks a year recorded
The Times says public bodies and the private sector suffered nearly 9,000 data security incidents in 12 months with sensitive and private information hacked, lost or accidentally given to the wrong people.
Data seen by The Times lists more than 500 organisations hit by ransomware attacks and a further 562 incidents of hacking.
