The so-called ‘Florida Joker’ is threatening to break out the Rockstar Games hacker from jail unless he’s paid $10 million in compensation.
Despite being warned off by no less than Arthur Morgan, Lawrence ‘Miami Joker’ Sullivan claims he intends to sue Rockstar Games for $10 million, for using what he claims is his likeness in the GTA 6 trailer.
Sullivan’s face is covered in Batman-related tattoos, and he was arrested in 2017 for threating people on a freeway with a gun. The character in the trailer is not him exactly, but many have noted the resemblance, which caused Sullivan to initially demand $2 million from Rockstar Games.
That rose to $5 million with his next rant on TikTok and has now reached $10 million, which he claims is needed in order to compensate for the ‘suffering and pain’ he has endured since the trailer debuted.
According to Sullivan, Rockstar now has until January 14 to respond or he’ll team up with the hacker that broke into Rockstar’s servers in 2022 and stole a significant amount of files and video footage.
The hacker, a British teen named Arion Kurtaj, was sentenced at the end of last year but according to Sullivan he’s going to ‘break that kid out of the psych ward’ in order to attack Rockstar.

That certainly sounds like the sort of thing the real Joker would do, but Sullivan would probably be wise not to threaten a company with crimes when he’s trying to get them to pay him $10 million in compensation.
Obviously, Rockstar aren’t going to give him any money, no matter what he says, and it’s hard to tell whether Sullivan is serious in his demands.

He’s not the only real world inspiration in the trailer though, as there’s also a character that seems to have been inspired by ‘Hammer Karen’ from Floridan news.
Both characters in the trailer look significantly different from their real world counterparts but Sullivan mentions the lawsuit that Rockstar had to counter from Lindsay Lohan, who claimed she was the inspiration for a character in GTA 5.
Lohan tried to sue twice, in actions that took over two years to work their way through the court system, but she still ended up losing, as the game is protected by US parody laws that should make it impossible for anyone else to sue for similar reasons.
