This is the shocking moment a group of up to 10 women brawl on the street on Mother’s Day.

Up to ten women were filmed fighting in broad daylight outside the Camp and Furnace nightclub on Liverpool’s Jamaica Street.

As the footage starts, the group appears to be arguing before one of them, wearing a pink shirt, falls backwards onto the pavement.

Another woman, wearing a multicoloured jacket, is then seen moving forward and strikes the woman wearing pink in the face.

The first woman falls over, as the others attempt to break apart the two women on the floor.

Screams of ‘get off her’ can be heard as the altercation continues.

Police have reportedly confirmed they are investigating after the video was viewed thousands of times.

The person behind the camera can be heard laughing and saying ‘happy Mother’s Day’, as a child in their company looks on in surprise.

Several commentators have shared their thoughts on the clip via social media.

One person Tweeted: ‘Just a Mother’s Day afternoon and everyone enjoying themselves.’

Another wrote: ‘Mother’s be mothering on Mother’s Day.’

A spokesperson for Merseyside police said: ‘We can confirm that a report was received of an altercation in Jamaica Street, Liverpool at 3.20pm yesterday, Sunday 19 March.

‘Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information can contact @MerPolCC with reference 23000233203.’

It’s not the first time violence has broken out on Mother’s Day in the UK.

Cheshire Police were called to a Turkish restaurant in Culcheth, near Leigh last year.

Families told local press they’d had to ‘run to safety’, with onlookers reporting an argument in which glasses were thrown and smashed.

On Mother’s Day in 2018, a fight also broke out between up to a dozen women at a male stripper show at a pub in Normanby, Middlesbrough.

Two women were arrested by police after the brawl spilled out into a nearby car park.
