Gregg Wallace gives motivational speech and wants to inspire others
Gregg Wallace has attempted to inspire his followers to embark on a health journey, after overhauling his own lifestyle.
The MasterChef judgehas dropped five stone since 2017 and has previously insisted his method is simple – don’t diet.
‘Don’t go on a diet,’ he insisted on Good Morning Britain. ‘Don’t do something that’s really difficult that you can’t maintain. We’re logical people, right? If it’s so difficult and so uncomfortable, you won’t keep it up.
‘What I tell everybody, and this is the key, eat three healthy meals a day.’
Greg, 58, has now expanded on his earlier point with a video posted to Instagram stories.
He encouraged his 169k followers to make ‘small changes’ in order to see a difference.
Gregg has lost five stone
‘Good evening. A little bit of inspiration for you, I hope, okay,’ he began.
‘The difference between being overweight and being slim is not one major great big leap, like a huge change overnight, but a series of small changes over time. That’s what it is.
‘Just getting better and better a little bit at a time. Not one huge great change that’s uncomfortable, but small little steps.’
Gregg encouraged his followers to take small steps on instagram.
He concluded: ‘Your health and your lifestyle is a journey. A journey made up of small steps, not one great big enormous leap.’
Gregg has even set up his own weight loss platform – ShowMe.Fit – where people can pay £7 a month to have access to recipes and workouts and he tagged the company’s Instagram page in the post.
Last year, Gregg revealed his desire to achieve the physique of a 20-year-old.
On why he embarked on his recent health journey, he said: ‘My motivation at the start was, “I just want to look better on the telly.”
‘But now it’s, “How fit can I actually get? Can I actually have the body of a 20-year-old at 60?” I’ve done everything. I’ve done fasting, no carbs, low fat. You name it, I tried it.

Earlier in the day, Gregg appeared on GMB, where he was grilled by host Richard Madeley over the circumstances of his departure from Inside The Factory.
Despite stepping back from the BBC2 show in March after claiming he wanted to spend more time with his three-year-old son Sid, the host’s interaction at the Nestlé factory has since been cited as a contributing factor.
The MasterChef presenter was accused of being ‘rude towards staff’ and ‘talking in a derogatory manner, especially to women’ and was alleged to have been ‘appalled’ that he had caused ‘such an offence.’
He said: ‘There was an argument in Inside The Factory. The reporting isn’t accurate. There was an issue and I thought that was the perfect time to come out.
‘Offending people? No, no. If you look at the headlines you can’t see a story that matches those headlines. But there was an issue; I don’t want to discuss what the issue was.
‘But I thought it was a good time – Mum needs help with Sid at home, running around the country going to those factories – I thought it was a good time to give something up.’
Gregg Wallace will be back on Celebrity MasterChef tomorrow at 8pm on BBC One.
