Gogglebox star George Gilbey’s death aged 40 shocks TV world after ‘freak accident’
Reality TV stars have been left devastated after Gogglebox and Celebrity Big Brother star George Gilbey’s shock death aged 40 after a horror ‘work accident’.
The reality TV star first hit our screens in September 2013 on the Channel 4 series with his mum Linda and late step-dad Peter, before appearing on Celebrity Big Brother the following year, where he finished in fourth place.
The family returned to Gogglebox in 2016, before Gilbey left two years later and Linda and Pete continued without him until 2020.
Police, though they have not formally named Gilbey, have now confirmed they were called to an incident on Wednesday morning after a man fell from a height while working and was injured. He died at the scene.
