A young girl was struck in the head after an object dropped out of the pocket of a rollercoaster rider.
The pre-teenage girl was standing under a coaster at Dutch Wonderland in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, when a ‘box cutter type device’ fell on her. The box cutter was not open when it hit the girl around 5.15pm on Saturday.
‘Park staff immediately responded to reports of a young park guest that had been accidentally struck by a utility tool,’ stated Dutch Wonderland, according to WGAL.
‘The guest was treated by first aid at the park and returned home for the evening.’
She suffered a minor head injury.
Police said the incident was considered accidental and that it will not be investigated as a crime.
