Alpine’s Pierre Gasly expressed his amazement at qualifying for Q3 at the British Grand Prix, a feat he deemed “incredible” given the team’s recent performance struggles. Meanwhile, Gasly’s teammate Franco Colapinto faced disappointment, finishing last in Q1 after a spin resulted in contact with the wall. The team has opted to allow him to start from the pit lane, making necessary adjustments to his car. “Not a good qualifying from my side,” Colapinto said, noting that improvements were still needed to bridge the gap with Gasly’s performance.
