Gareth Southgate says he thinks Marcus Rashford is ‘okay’ after the Manchester United star was injured during England’s win over Malta.
The Three Lions laboured to a 2-0 win at Wembley on Friday night, with an own goal from Enrico Pepe and a Harry Kane strike maintaining their unbeaten run in the Euro 2024 qualifiers.
Rashford started the game but looked pretty poor, before being forced to come off just after the hour mark after colliding with Trent Alexander-Arnold.
The forward appeared to be in some pain and received medical attention before being replaced by debutant Cole Palmer.
With United going through an injury crisis, this is the last thing Erik ten Hag and co. need, even if the forward is struggling for form.
In another blow for United, goalkeeper Andre Onana appeared to also pick up an injury on Friday night, after coming off after 81 minutes in Cameroon’s 3-0 win over Mauritius.
