Fuming Boris Johnson threatened to SACK Rishi Sunak over fears Chancellor was plotting behind his back

The Sun says RAGING Boris Johnson threatened to demote Rishi Sunak as tensions between the two spilled into the open, it was revealed.

The PM went “apoplectic” when he thought his Chancellor had been secretly manoeuvring behind his back, it was said.

Stunned officials claimed bristling BoJo launched into a sarcastic rant in which he jokingly threatened to sack him.

The angry outburst laid bare the increasingly tense relationship between the two most powerful men in government.

Mr Johnson’s frustration boiled over when he learned of a leaked letter by Mr Sunak warning travel restrictions would damage the economy.
