Congratulations are in order for former Coronation Street actress Sacha Parkinson, whose boyfriend has popped the question!
The actress, 31, is known for playing Sian Powers in the ITV soap, with her character previously in a groundbreaking relationship with Sophie Webster (Brooke Vincent) and sharing the first lesbian kiss in 2010.
Fast forward to 2023 and the ex-soap star is all loved up off-screen, sharing the adorable news with her thousands of followers that she is soon to be a wife.
Taking to social media, Sacha showed off her dazzling engagement ring as she beamed alongside fiancé John.

Of course, Brooke, 31, who left the cobbles herself in 2019, was bursting with joy for her former on-screen girlfriend and still, to this day, best pal.
Taking to her Instagram Story, she wrote lovingly: ‘My wifey is becoming a wifey!!!!!!! Screaming!!!!’
Sacha appeared in Coronation Street from 2009 until late November 2011, with her contract initially extended by bosses due to the popularity of Sian and Sophie’s romance.
At the time, Sacha explained that she wished to work on other projects and not outstay her welcome on the show.
Since her Corrie stint propelled her to fame, she’s taken on roles in Casualty, The Crash, The Driver, My Mad Fat Diary, and Safe House.
She also now uses her platform to discuss her experiences with endometriosis, a diagnosis she shared publicly in 2018.

Her condition led to Sacha having an operation in 2017 to remove endometrial cysts from her ovaries along with other tissue.
2018, Sacha revealed how she collapsed from ‘excruciating’ pain while exercising – but didn’t know she was secretly battling endometriosis.
Speaking on ITV’s Lorraine about what she had been through, Sacha said she thought heavy and painful periods were normal for years, and it wasn’t until she collapsed while exercising that she realised something was wrong.
The Salford star – who has been hailed an inspiration for sharing her story – recalled crawling across her hotel room floor to get back into her bed, fearing no one would find her until it was too late.
