Newcastle United are keen to sign forgotten Chelsea star Andrey Santos in the January transfer window, according to reports.
Eddie Howe is keen to bolster his squad amid a poor run of results and Santos is set to have his loan at Nottingham Forest ripped up due to a lack of action.
Santos has only made two appearances for Forest since he arrived at the City Ground at the start of the season, with Chelsea left unhappy over the situation.
They may now decide to cash in on the 19-year-old Brazilian amid reports that Newcastle have reignited their interest in the defensive midfielder.
Chelsea only signed Santos from Vasco da Gama 12 months ago and he has not yet made a senior appearance for the west Londoners.
Santos earned his first cap for the Brazil national team back in March and is seen as a player with huge potential.
He is under contract at Chelsea until 2030 and it remains to be seen what price would tempt the Blues into sale, given that they signed him for £11m.

Santos was strongly linked with a move to Newcastle before he decided to head to Stamford Bridge last January.
Meanwhile, Newcastle have also been linked with Manchester City star Kalvin Phillips, with Howe keen for midfield reinforcements given that Sandro Tonali is suspended until next season.
The Magpies secured an impressive top-four finish last term but sit ninth in the table after their opening 20 games of the 2023-24 campaign.
