If you want a front row seat to your partner’s climax then the ‘best seat in the house’ sex position will get them there.
It’s also an amazing low-effort position meaning you can have lazy sex that is still incredibly satisfying.
So, what actually is the ‘best seat in the house’ position?
Sex expert Ness Cooper tells Metro.co.uk: ‘This seated sex position offers deep penetration that can target the G-spot.
‘It’s a sex position where the person penetrating sits in a chair and leans backwards. The person on top faces away from them as they straddle and thrust their partner.
‘The key to making this seated sex position different to all the rest is that the individual seat on the bottom sits with their feet on tiptoes, and legs tightly
together.’

For partner’s who both have vaginas, one can opt to wear a strap-on to make this work.
Ness says it allows for extra stability and control when thrusting, which makes it less tiring for both parties.
We’re all about minimum effort, maximum climax, but why is it such a good position for getting you to the finish line?
Ness explains: ‘With the person underneath learning backwards, it can allow for easier clitoral stimulation to the person on top.
‘The position can allow for larger sex toys such as wands being used, unlike some seated sex positions where larger sex toys can’t be positioned.’
But did you know that something as simple as changing the position of your feet can affect your orgasm in this position?
‘The feet have a network of nerves which are also connected to the genitals and pelvic floor, so when stimulated or in different positions, some people may find it easier to become aroused and orgasm,’ Ness says.
‘When the thighs are closer together, this can also activate another
erogenous zone. Some people find they can only orgasm when their thighs
are tight together.

‘This thigh pressure can also add pressure to the genitals, whether that’s the vulva and clitoris, or scrotum and perineum, it can make orgasms feel more intense for some.’
It already seems like it will deliver some pretty mind-blowing results for you and your partner but here at Metro we like to go the extra mile, so we asked Ness how we can make it even spicier.
She suggests: ‘Some ride-on seated sex toys (such as the ruby glow) can be used by anyone in a seated position to experience vibrations during sex.’
She also adds that for extra comfort a sex support pillow or strap will ensure there’s no strain on your back, so you can get lost in the moment, and a recliner chair will allow for countless different angles to make sure you really hit the spot.
You could also try shallowing – the sex act would make a perfect accompaniment – or gooning to prolong the pleasure.
After all, if you’ve got the ‘best seat in the house’ you don’t want to give it up too quickly.
We do just have to issue a small health and safety warning though – this sex position may be a challenge for anyone with back issues or calf and ankle problems.
