The Premier League title race continues to thrill after some massive results this week, with a defeat for Liverpool seemingly all but extinguishing their hopes.
Jurgen Klopp’s side were soundly beaten 2-0 by Merseyside rivals Everton at Goodison Park on Wednesday night, with the departing manager saying afterwards that his side are now relying on crises at Arsenal and Manchester City.
That does not look likely, though, with the Gunners bouncing back from their Champions League exit against Bayern Munich to record back-to-back wins against Wolves and Chelsea – hammering the latter 5-0.
City, meanwhile, travelled to the south coast to face Brighton on Thursday evening and were three goals up after barely half-an-hour, seeing out the contest 4-0 to lay down a statement victory.
