A man who was stabbed to death on an iconic London road has been named and pictured.
Ahmed Jama, from Camden, was found with stab wounds near Gaymead, on the Abbey Estate, in Abbey Road at around 7.30pm on Friday.
Officers and paramedics provided first aid and the 29-year-old was taken to hospital, where he later died.
Parts of the estate were cordoned off amid a heavy police presence as ‘scared’ neighbours watched on.
Officers with torches appeared to be searching for something with some using a ladder to peer over walls and into nearby gardens.
The Metropolitan Police has now confirmed a murder investigation has been launched, and say no arrests have been made ‘at this early stage’.
Felicia Adarkwa, 65, who lives on the estate, said: ‘I heard a noise, there were arguments. I was going to pop the window but something told me not to.
‘There was heavy noise, there was shouting, boys and girls. I didn’t watch them. They were arguing.
