First look at King Charles’s 50p coins
50p coins with the image of King Charles are being made to enter general circulation.
They are being struck at The Royal Mint in Llantrisant, Wales, and will enter circulation in December.
Sculptor Martin Jennings created the portrait of the King and said it took months of painstaking work to get the image right.
He used an image of Charles on his 70th birthday to create a likeness of the monarch.
