Fifty Partygate fines handed out in police probe into Downing Street parties
Daily Mirror says Boris Johnson faces calls to quit for presiding over “widespread criminality” as police dish out another 30 Partygate fines – bringing the total to 50.
Cops are investigating 12 gatherings held at Downing Street and the Cabinet Office after an internal inquiry found Boris Johnson’s staff had enjoyed alcohol-fuelled bashes.
Today the Metropolitan Police today announced 30 more fines are due to be issued on top of 20 already dished out – and more could come as the investigation continues.
But there was still no word on whether Boris Johnson, who attended a string of lockdown-busting gatherings, had been fined.
