Hollyoaks star Ruby O’Donnell has received support from fans and colleagues after sharing the sad news that her grandmother has died.
The actress, who plays Peri Lomax in the Channel 4 soap, revealed the heartbreaking news on social media, sharing a number of pictures of her grandmother.
‘Today was all about celebrating the beautiful life you created,’ she wrote on Instagram alongside the images.
‘I’ll miss you forever Grandma xx’.
A number of Ruby’s Hollyoaks co-stars were quick to offer support, with Nikki Sanderson – who plays Maxine Minniver – writing: ‘Sending lots of love to you all. So sorry for your loss xxx.’
Ross Adams, who portrays Scott Drinkwell, wrote: ‘Thinking of you beautiful,’ while former Ollie Morgan star Gabriel Clark said: ‘Sending you and your family lots of love.’
Ashling O’Shea, who plays Nadira Valli, commented with three heart emojis, while Malique Thompson-Dwyer, aka Prince McQueen, added two.
Fans were also quick to add messages of support, with one writing: ‘Sending thought’s and prayers to you and all your family.’
Ruby will feature on screen next week in Hollyoaks, as Peri decides to accompany Juliet Nightingale (Niamh Blackshaw) on a trip to get her cancer treatment.
