Fans of bloody thriller have waited too long as season three trailer finally drops

The trailer for the third season of Gangs of London has finally arrived, over two years after the explosive finale of the second season.

The adrenaline-pumping Sky series is critically acclaimed with an impressive 86% on Rotten Tomatoes and praised by fans as ‘jaw-dropping’ and ‘unbelievable’.

The famously gory show – starring Joe Cole and Paapa Esseideu – follows rival gangs and networks of criminal organisations across modern-day London – and in particular the impact on the powerful Wallace family empire.

‘Last night 600 people died in London and it wasn’t an accident,’ the trailer opens with former undercover cop Elliot Carter (Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù) dramatically narrating after a spiked batch of cocaine wipes out hundreds in the capital.

‘What would you call it?’ Lale, played by Narges Rashidi, replies.

    ‘An attack,’ Elliot ominously responds.

Although Sean (Joe) starts the season behind bars – it’s not for long as his escape throws everything into chaos once more.

And there’s still much more bloodlust, violent showdowns and heart-pounding cat-and-mouse chases to come.

The third season will be led by director Kim Hong Sun and lead writer Peter McKenna

There’s plenty of excitement for the long-awaited third season online.

‘Set to be the best show of 2025,’ @w1_aaron wrote on X.

‘We are so back!!!,’ @d7cash added.

‘One of the best series to come out of the UK,’ @simone10_10 said.

‘I’ve waited sooooo long,’ @gilbertdadson59 echoed.

    ‘Can’t wait,’ maxybyrne posted.

The full synopsis reads: ‘Anyone can fall as chaos erupts in London after a spiked shipment of cocaine kills hundreds, fan-favourite characters collide with new faces bound by blood ties, sparking brutal power struggles, unexpected alliances, and fierce rivalries.

‘Former undercover cop turned gangster Elliot navigates his new role as a top-level criminal alongside the Dumanis, but the spiking throws their operations into disarray.

‘The Wallaces, Luan, Lale, and the street gangs face devastating consequences as personal vendettas collide with professional power struggles bleeding into violent turf wars.

‘In the ruthless fight for control of London’s criminal underworld, no one is safe. This was no accident — it was a calculated attack. But who’s pulling the strings?’

There are new cast members this season including Andrew Koji, Richard Dormer and T’Nia Miller as well as guest stars Phil Daniels, Ruth Sheen, and Mat Fraser.

And for those hoping to catch up with all before the new season drops, you’re in luck as all 17 episodes out so far are available to watch on Netflix UK.

Gangs of London arrives on Sky and NOW in March.
