The families of four teenage boys who have been missing since they left to go on a camping trip say they are ‘frantic with worry’.
Jevon Hirst, Harvey Owen, Wilf Henderson and Hugo Morris were last seen early on Sunday morning getting into a silver Ford Fiesta – but they’ve not been seen or heard from since.
They are thought to have been travelling near the coastal areas of Harlech and Porthmadog in North Wales and could have been heading into Snowdonia.
The group were due to return on Monday morning but none of them have made any contact with relatives and their phones are all switched off.
Their families say the lack of contact is out of character.
The teens are believed to be from the Shrewsbury area and are also said to be experienced campers who had equipment with them.
Police have launched an urgent search for the youngsters following their disappearance.
Harvey’s mother shared the appeal issued by North Wales Police on Facebook and said: ‘I am frantic with worry, one of these boys is my son Harvey, please please please share and tag anyone in Wales or get in touch with any information you may have.’
Lisa Corfield, who is thought to be Wilf’s girlfriend’s mother, wrote: ‘They have been missing up Snowdonia after going camping yesterday and were due home this morning but have not been seen or heard from since.
‘Please share with as many as possible so we can try and get them home safely thank you.’
Police and mountain rescue teams are searching the area and have urged anyone who may have seen them to get in touch mmediately.
North Wales Police issued an appeal for ‘missing persons’ on Facebook and said: ‘Police have concerns for 4 young males missing from the Harlech/Porthmadog area since the morning of the 19/11/23.
