Expert says fresh drama ‘ruined’ Prince Harry and Meghan’s UK reunion | Royal | News | Royal Family

Insiders had hoped the Royal Family would make up in time for Christmas – but then Omid Scobie’s Endgame was released

Experts had hoped Harry and Meghan would make-up and amend the fractured relationship with the Royal Family.

However, another Christmas has passed by and Prince Harry and Meghan were not at Sandringham with the Royal Family.

It comes after fans and experts had thought this could be the year the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made amends with The Firm. Sources close to the royals had claimed the couple were open to spending Christmas in Britain, reports The Royal family news editor on WTX..

However, the release of Endgame, Omid Scobie’s second book, appears to have caused more hurt than good. Even though the Sussexes did not write or endorce the book, Scobie is seen as an ally to the couple.

Royal expert Gareth Russell told GB News that their brand has been “damaged” by the book, and being labelled as “the biggest losers” by The Hollywood Reporter also didn’t help. But like anything that comes from GB News, it does smell of clickbait.

Before Endgame there were hopes a royal rift could be repaired

He explained: “Endgame came at quite a bad time for them. I think it would have been in their better interests to shift away from the narrative. Because the only time you really see them prominently in the headlines is when they are they have directly or indirectly attacked the Royal Family.

“It’s clear it’s not working in terms of generating public sympathy. But there was a great deal of public sympathy for them and an enormous amount of public interest. And that isn’t quite there.”

On Sunday, December 23, the King and Queel Camilla were spotted at St Mary Magdalene Church on the royal estate in Norfolk. The monarch, 75, offered well-wishers a wave while striding to the church, accompanied by his wife, as well as sister Queen Anne, Sir Timothy Laurence and trusted equerry Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Thompson.

Prince William, Kate Middleton and their three children attended, along with Zara and Mike Tindall and their children.

The Royal Family are in Sandringham for the festive period and King Charles addressed the nation for the time, by writing his own speech, broadcast on CHristmas day.

Thousands of miles away, Prince Harry, 39, Meghan Markle, 42, and their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet are celebrating at their home in California, where they have spent Christmas for the past three years. It is five years since they have spent the festive season in the UK.

Relationship expert and co-founder of So Syncd Louella Alderson has shared what she believes the Duke and Duchess will get up to instead, this Christmas, exclusively telling us that those around the couple will ensure they have a “special holiday season,” but it’s no doubt that Harry will feel “lonely” spending another festive period away from the UK.

“It’s possible that Harry may feel a sense of loneliness during the holiday season, especially if he is house-hunting in the UK and has a desire to spend Christmas in the UK this year,” she said. “Being homesick and missing British traditions and celebrations could make the holiday periods more difficult for him.”
