UK heatwave: Exact hour UK scorching heatwave will end forecast by the Met Office
The Daily Express says sunseekers are rejoicing in the scorching heat this weekend as the mercury is set to hit 33C in some parts of the UK ahead of ‘Freedom Day.’
But the heatwave has also provoked health warnings from officials as elderly and vulnerable people face a serious risk of overheating.
Met Office forecasters predicted Saturday July 17 would be the hottest day of the year so far – and conditions could be even balmier today.
Highs of 33C are predicted for the south of England and Wales today in conditions expected to send Brits flocking to the coastline in search of water to cool off in.
