Everton sacked Frank Lampard back in January (Photo: Getty)
Chelsea legend Frank Lampard is aiming to be a Premier League manager again in the summer, according to reports.
Lampard was sacked by Everton back in January with the Toffees 19th in the table and has been out of work since.
One of the greatest midfielders of his generation, the former England international has not found the transition to the dugout easy.
He began his managerial career in 2018 with Derby County, guiding them to the Championship play-off final before returning to Stamford Bridge where he had made his mark as a player.
The 44-year-old performed admirably in his first season as Chelsea manager, finishing fourth and reaching the FA Cup final amid a transfer ban but he was sacked the following season following a poor run of results.
In January 2022 he took-over Everton and secured their survival but his side couldn’t crack on after that and he left Goodison Park just short of a year into his stay there, with Sean Dyche replacing him.
Despite these failings, Lampard is keen to return to a Premier League dugout in the near-future, with The Sun reporting that he is keeping tabs on four clubs who could be in need of a new manager in the summer.

One of those is Crystal Palace who sacked Patrick Vieira on Friday with the club winless in 2023 and appear to be looking for a short-term replacement to ensure the club’s survival before making their next move.
U18s coach Paddy McCarthy has taken charge of the Eagles’ game at Arsenal on Sunday, with former boss Roy Hodgson supposedly in talks to return to Selhurst Park after the international break.
Southampton also have an interim boss until the end of the season in the form of Ruben Selles, though their status as a Premier League club is very uncertain with the Saints bottom on the table.

Leicester have also been touted as a potential option with Brendan Rodgers’ job under threat with the Foxes 17th and having declined badly from challenging for the Champions League spots just a few years ago.
And finally, Fulham have also been linked, surprising given that Marco Silva’s side are ninth and aiming to qualify for Europe.
But it is suggested that Lampard could look to take over at Craven Cottage should Silva be poached by a bigger club in the summer, with Tottenham reportedly interested in his services with Antonio Conte almost certain to leave.
